aura-chic's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - wow, i just realized its been a few days since i updated.. whoops.. well it's not like i had anything to talk about.. and still don't.. but it's my damn diary, and i'll babble on about nothing if i want to.. so, it's like 3:30 in the after noon, and i'm kicked back with a beer, my after work enjoyment.. and yes it is a little early in the day for most people.. but to me this is too late.. haha... let's see.. i fixed this girl at works car door today.. she told me earlier at work how she has to hold the door while she drives.. now i got a laugh outta this.. i can just picture her holding onto it as she drives... well anyway, so i go out to her car after i'm done, and take a look.. i figured it could either be the pin, or the latch itself.. well i look the hinge of the door is squeaky, but generally ok, then the latch, not only is the thing covered in caked up dry dirt and grease and stuck in the wrong spot, but the piece that it actually connects to on the frame is coming unscrewed (as in one screw was completely out and the other one was barely holdin on.. the damn thing was sideways.. so i get to finding the right position for the thing (alright pervs pay attention, minds outta the gutter) and get my set of screwdrivers outta my car, and my little tape measure thingy, and put the thing back together, and wiped the pieces of caked up dirt and grease out of the latch.. and voila! it closed and held.. yay!! she drives a pontiac grand am... i have had one exactly like it.. and so far it is the only car i have seen that the bar that the latch catches isn't welded onto the frame.. its just piece of steel that is screwed onto the frame.. and my old one did the same thing.. every few months or so... it would come apart.. well anyway.. needless to say she was so happy... she was like wow now i can drive back to g boro and not have to hold my door!!!! and that was about the only thing useful i did all day.. hahaha.. well i must be going now... i have somethings that need attending to.. buh bye!!! :) 3:34 p.m. - 2003-02-18 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
