aura-chic's Diaryland Diary

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

i made it all the way there and back...

well i returned from raleigh at about 5:30 yesterday evening..and i was exhausted, so i only finished 4 hours of driving. only 4 more hours to go. see it was only gonna be six in one day cuz i was gonna spend the night, but obviously i didn't. i've decided to wait a few days since it is snowing, and my car has NO tread on the tires... the jeep would be fine in this weather...but the whole point of this trip is to get my car back to my uncle..so he'll have to wait for a few days..which is cool with him..he's just grateful that he doesn't have to take any of his spare time to come get the thing..and since i'm completely used to the crappy front end of my car it's better that i drive it... and my uncle is about 50 years old, and he and his wife just had a baby.. this is his fourth child and her second. so he hasn't been sleeping well with the new baby and all.. i would feel bad if he had to come all the way out here as tired as he is all the time.

i only got to see the cop for a few minutes long enough to talk for a little bit, and i got to see his son.. he is one of the sweetest kids i've ever met... and he's a riot... he looks just like his dad, and he acts just like him too... same crazy sense of humor... so we played in the yard for a little while and then i had to leave to head back home, we were planning on me coming back that night and spending the night, but then he ended up having to go BACK to work...so that didn't work out..and now it's snowing...i'm pissed off about that... but still it was nice to see him...even if it was only for a short amount of time... let's see....nothing much to talk about...

i will say that i was some what terrified at the thought of driving my mom's jeep, i can drive a stick shift, and i have owned one before, but i hadn't had much experience with my mom's jeep, and as some of you may know each car is slightly different in how it shifts and handles and so on and so forth, but i just wasn't quite ready to die for screwin it up, but once i got out on the road with it, I LOVED IT!! i think i want a jeep... i was gonna save up money for a new mazda 6 but now i don't know... i mean i'm sure i can always borrow the jeep if i want it, now that i'm more comfortable with it... but still i can't wait for summer to take the top off of the jeep and go to the beach... that's what me and my friend bob did every year, we'd take his jeep right out onto the beach and sleep in the damn thing...it was great we'd do that at least 10 times during the summer...i was horrified when he sold the jeep, and bought a miata...i was like what the fuck did you do that for.... it was a nice car and all, you know the special edition of it, but this man is 6'4" and weighs roughly 265, it looked like he was wearing the damn car...so after a few months he traded it for a brand new jeep.... thank god... so beach trips resumed...haha... so yeah anyway, i'm a full fledge jeep fan now... i'm probably gonna be pestering the shit outta my mom to borrow the thing all the time...and we had to go for a ride today, the roads look like shit, and we were just blowin past everyone... yep...it felt pretty damn good... we were laffin at those that couldn't quite handle their cars on the slush and ice.... i mean really NC has no equipment for snow plowing or salting or anything... and i don't think they would know how to use it if they had it... mom was tellin me how in '79 we got like 4 feet of snow and the state just shut down... so maine (where mom used to live..she loves it) sent down thousands of plows and salt trucks and stuff like that...well they get it here, and no one knew how to use it..so then maine turned around and had to send people down to instruct these dumbasses how to use it, and how to hook up the plows...that is just too funny... and i think to myself, it's things like that that give southerners an image of stoopidity... not all of us are that stoopid...i promise... i can drive in snow, i had to drive my broke down piece of shit in this stuff last year, and i had a busted radiator, and head gasket, not to mention it was a canadian car, and was completely rusted out, the front axle was busted too,we had done a temporary fix on it but still, it sucked... and i still managed to get the damn car around.... until it warmed up a little and i got out on the highway goin about 75 mph and the radiator went BOOM...whoops..but that's for another time... i must get going....

since it's snowing i think i will get drunk and sleep for the whole day.... sounds like fun to me... toodles!!!

oh and thanks everyone for the compliments on the layout... we must thank the one who created it... ok i'm really gonna go now.... ttfn!!!:)
